Jag @ Henny’z Program 34: Live Albums

The most recent jag is as much about the panelists themselves, as it is about the topic (see heading).

Devasted and crestfallen from having his favourite sporting team lose an important match, our Calgary correspondent, Conan Daly proves his mettle and turns in another solid, albeit predictable performance, gushing over his favourite British bass player.

Gary Toy, we are glad to say is recovering well from some dental adventures. Ever the diplomatic gentleman, Gary gets one step closer to outing himself as a country and western fan with one of his live album choices.

Armed with only his good looks and razor sharp wit, Shawn Ochitwa, goes beyond his usual sniping. He deep dives for us into the back seat of his parent’s car driving to Canora and surfaces with an earful of Johnny Cash and heart-warming stories.

Failed haiku-writer, Craig Mackinnon, wins the award for best team player for the podcast as his insightful and supportive quips on the panelists album choices add to the educational value of the jag. And again, Big Mac unearths, yet another artist never-before-mentioned on the jag.

Let this be your soundtrack for shoveling snow or for your morning commute to whichever saltmine Leonid has you working at this week.

And speaking of soundtracks, K-Tel has assembled a smattering of the prime cuts of tonal beef from this week’s show. Check it out here.
