Take Fitspeek with you this weekend on the road whether that’s on the Trans-Canada, Highway 97, or the manic dash to the ferry terminals.
We have an hour of entertaining and insightful content featuring Canadian Triathlon Legend Jeff Symonds. Jeff has been an icon in the sport with his special kind of mental toughness that he calls “getting ugly.” You can listen to it by pressing play here:
Zack Neufeld sets up the interview with his Between The Ears feature. What’s interesting is that Zack & Jeff went head to head at the Bare Bones Duathlon in Penticton. Jeff won round one but this weekend is the rematch at the Westwood Lake Triathlon! Will the youthful Zack be the latest up & upcomer to challenge Jeff?
Not only is Jeff Symonds one of the best in Canadian Triathlon he is also doing great volunteer work, working with a group of young female runners in North Vancouver. The group uses running as a way of boosting self-esteem. Jeff also tends to be like Superman, showing up at the right place and at the right time, like at the finish line at Challenge Penticton in 2016 where he can be seen reviving the corpse of Fitspeek host Kevin Heinze.

After listening to the interview head over to the Fitspeek Facebook Page and enter to win a free entry to the Westwood Lake Triathlon on Sunday May 20. You can also win a canister of F2C’s 3:1 Rehab formula.

From professional soccer player to web designer, to elite triathlete, to “Mr. Mom” to “The Music Man” Abbotsford’s Vince Dimanno has had a wide variety of jobs and pursuits. Vince is now the owner of Deep Blue Creative and a coach with the Abbotsford Triathlon Club. In our second Vince Speeks segment, we hear about the huge role his father had in shaping Vince’s athletic life. We also hear about the “non-secret” method Vince used to become a professional soccer player…. at the age of 17.
We’re happy to unleash Fitspeek 31 on all of our listeners. Spring is here and so is some all new information and inspiration on the program. We lead things off with segment 1 of our feature interview with Abbotsford’s Vince Dimanno. Vince has led a very interesting life with sports a very big part of it. In segment one, we hear about Vince’s path in becoming a professional soccer player and the influence that Vince’s dad had in his life.
Our latest Fitspeek guest is local business owner Charlotte Lepp. Lepp’s Farm Market in Abbotsford is the go-to place for locally grown meat and vegetables.

(featuring THIS UGLY guy!), and his chances of winning a race against a Dynamic Race Director.
In addition to information on the Escape Velocity Club, my Fitspeek Express Interview inevitably goes to the dogs as Ryan and I digress into conversations about his newly-found MOBI bike fetish (?) and his EPIC charity ride up Oxford Street in White Rock. Hear all that, and tales of Cosco Scotch by pressing play below!
