One of the pioneers in the Canadian multisport community is Calgary’s Bill Justus.

Bill Justus is one heck of an ultra-distance athlete, but he’s also got a knack for getting things organized. He’s the guy who brought parkrun to Canada, building a volunteer-driven running movement that gets people out the door and moving every week.

At 63, Bill took on the massive challenge of Ultraman Canada earlier this year. He didn’t cross the finish line, but he came away with something else: the motivation to create a better ultra-distance triathlon in the South Okanagan.

On the show this week, we talk with Bill about how this race is different, along with how to apply for the inaugural UMC 515.
